U.A.E, Dubai, 22nd October, 2014: THAI CHI – an innovative restaurant combining the unique flavours of authentic Thai and modern Chinese cuisine, is introducing a host of enticing new dishes to their menu, all boasting home-grown herbs and spices.

“We have introduced more than 20 new items to the new a la carte menu, but we have ensured that we still keep our most popular favourites on the menu too. We have also included some new modern dishes that you will not normally find in Thailand but are very popular amongst the UAE residents, cooked Thai Style; such as Gaeng Massaman Gae, slow braised lamb shank in aromatic massaman curry served with steamed jasmine rice” said Thai Chef Nita Fhaichowna, who is back in town to launch the new menu and train the staff.

“The new menu has a different approach to Thai cuisine and a lot of the dishes follow the popular trend of more health conscious cooking and organic ingredients. Goong Yang Krapao Grob for example is grilled river prawns topped with hot basil sauce or Laab Pla Salmon, the Organic salmon “Thai Style Ceviche” with diced raw salmon, lime leave, slice onions in spicy lime dressing”.

“For the meat and seafood lovers we have also prepared Seaklong Kae Phad Prik Sod, marinated Lamb rack with garlic, lemon grass sauce and Hor Mok Talay, the new Thai style seafood soufflé topped with coconut milk”.

“Last but not least we have also added some exciting new deserts such as Coconut Pannacotta, served with pandan sauce and citrus crumble, Sweet Taro Wonton topped with chocolate sauce and my personal favourite, Banana Cake served warm with coconut milk and chocolate sorbet” said the Thai chef.

“The innovative new menu that I have created with the help of Wafi’s great team of chefs’ proves that anything can be cooked in Thai style, all you need is imagination, passion and fresh Thai ingredients” added chef Nita
